case (from Patzak, 1974a)

parasite

The young larva lives within a pod and feeds upon the seeds. At a later stage it lives in a yellow, later light brown, tubular silken case, attached to a pod.

host plants

Fabaceae, monophagous

Astragalus arenarius, glycyphyllos.

Suire also mentions Colutea arborescens, but that is not repeated by later authors.

BENELUX

Observed in Belgium (De Prins & Steeman, 2011a).

distribution within Europe

(PESI, 2018).

larva

Described by Chrétien; the description by Suire is not entirely reliable, because he mentions a, possibly, incorrect host plant.

Eupista gallipennella.
