Very similar to the case of C. serratella but the colour is not yellowish grey, but rather blackish, with a reddish end.

Amelanchier; Pyrus communis; Sorbus.

Hering (1957a) and Toll (1962a) write that Pear is the only hostplant.

Full-grown cases in May, June (Hering, 1957a).

distribution within Europe

From Switzerland to Italy and Greece, and from Austria to Romania (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
