case
Light brown, trivalved, tubular silken case of c. 7 mm; mouth angle c. 45°. Immediately after eclosion the larva begins the construction of its case, that entirely consists of silk. The youth case, < 5 mm, is a pistol case (van Roosmalen & Doorenweerd).

van Roosmalen & Doorenweerd found youth cases (but no full grown cases) on Fragaria vesca.
