Silene saxifraga: exceptionally slender and long (17 mm) case; from Nel (1991d).
Tri-valved, spindle-shaped, tubular silken case of 11.5-13 mm and a mouth angle of 30°. The case has length lines of attached sand grains.

Larvae found in May-June (Hering, 1957a; Klimesch, 1942a).
