White, yellow or brown pistol case with a large, transparent pallium that covers most of the case.

Ononis mitissima, natrix, spinosa & subsp. antiquorum + hircina + procurrens.
A reference to Dorycnium suffruticosum by Chrétien (1926a) probably is erroneous. Szabóky ao (2007a) also mention Vicia craca; it is not clear, however, whether the species actually lived on that plant, or was just reared on it.

Larvae found in March and May (Gering, 1957a).

Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
