Lobe case, consisting of two rows of large, untidily projecting leaf fragments that give the appearance of a bundle of dried leaves. Mouth angle about 45°.


Fabaceae, monophagous

Onobrychis arenaria.

References to Astragalus are caused by confusion with C. onobrychiella (Hering, 1957a, 1963a). Patzak (1974a) comsiders the possibility of a ynonymy between the two species.


Larvae from September till June of the following year.


Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).

From Germany to the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, and Bulgaria; also norhern Russia (Fauna Europaea, 2009).


Synonymized with C. onobrychiella by Patzak (1974a), but this has not been accepted by later authors (Baldizzone ea, 2004a, 2006a).
