Large blotch, quickly widening from a narrow initial part. Silk is depositied within the mine, causing it to develop some length folds. Frass densely concentrated in the narrow initial part of the mine.

Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).

Italy and the Balkan Peninsula, as far north as Hungary and Romania (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
