Small, irregular full depth mine. The larva soon leaves the mine and continues feeding among spun leaves (Harper, Langmaid & Emmet, 2002a).
Larvae in June – August (Hering, 1957a).

From Ireland to Corsica, Italy, Greece, and Romania, and from Poland to the Iberian Peninsula (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
Larva green with darker length lines; head brownish black; prothoracic shield brown, bordered with black; thoracic feet green, pinacula black. See also Fetz.
