Festuca ovina, valesiaca; Poa pratensis; Rostraria cristata.

Festuca ovina is the main hostplant (Bland, 1996a).


Mining larvae from autumn till June, July of the following year.


Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2011).

From Germany to the Iberian Peninsula and Sicily, and from Britain to Thrace (Fauna Europaea, 2011).


Body light greyish green with lateral length lines; head brown; prothoracic plate dark brown (Bland, 1996a). Prothoracic plate with two length stripes (Hering, 1957a).
