Elachista ornithopodella Frey, 1859
Oviposion in autumn at the upperside of the leaf, 3-4 cm below the tip. The early mine follows the leaf margin up to the tip. After hibernation the mine descends; the final mine is white, flat, and its last part is as wide as the entire leaf. Pupation external.

Larvae from autumn till early June.
Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2010).

Described by Steuer (1987a). Yellowish, head brown; full grown larvae with a pair of wide, red, dorso-lateral length lines. The dorsal prothoracic sclerites are relatively weakly developed.
