Narrow, whitish (in the end often reddish brown) gallery of several decimeters in length, descending from the leaf tip to within the sheath of the leaf. Frass dispersed. Pupatipon external.
Poaceae, narrowly monophagous
Glyceria maxima.
In addition, Schütze (1931a) mentions G. fluitans but this is not repeated by any later author.
Larvae in April – May, and July – August (Bland, 1996a; Buszko, 1990a; Traugott-Olsen & Nielsen, 1977a).
