The larva spins a tube of silk along a branch, and from there one leaf after another is completely eaten out. The mine hardly contains any frass. Pupation in the tube.

The status of this species is unclear. The name is not mentioned in the Fauna Europaea (2009), neither is there a reference to this species in the summary paper by Klimesch (1984a) on the Gelechiidae of the Canary Islands.
