Ptocheuusa abnormella (Herrich-Schäffer, 1854)
The larva lives in the flower heads, feeding on the achenes. Hibernation in the head; in the spring there also the pupation in a curved, leathery cocoon densely set with emptied achenes.
Univoltien, hibernation as larva.

Body wax-coloured yellow; head small, together with prothoracic plate pale honey-coloured. Thoracic feet absent.
