Scrobipalpa montanella (Chrétien, 1910)
The larva makes mines (that are not described), but also lives free, and feeds on stem and leaves. These have not previously been spun together.
In the original publication by Chrétien the species was erroneously associated with Anthyllis montana (Huemer & Karsholt (2010a); this was repeated in Hering (1957a).
Larvae from June to August, in two generations.
Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
distribution within Europe
Pale green, with reddish transverse bands. Head capsule and prothoracic shield pale brown.
Hering (1957a), Huemer & Karsholt (2010a).
