Elongate, full depth blotch on and along the midrib, with broad extensions into the leaf lobes. The mine has strong length folds, because much silk is deposited inside. Most frass is ejected, what remains lies on the midrib. Pupation external.

Larvae observed in mid-May to June, then again in early October (Huemer & Karsholt, 2010a) .
