Lower-surface, strongly folded, tentiform mine on or close to the midrib. The upper surface is mottled and strongly inflated; the leaf margins are deeply contracted. Frass compacted in the lower corner of the mine. Pupa in the mine in a cocoon that consists of no more than a thin film above and under the pupa.
