Apterona nylanderi (Wehrli, 1927)
Larva in a helicoidal case, that is higher than wide. The larva makes a number of fleck mines. The opening is not precisely round, and lacks the fringe of stubbles of cut silk threads; this is because the larva does not secure the case to the leaf while eating.

Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
