Digitivalva valeriella (Snellen, 1878)
One or a few rather broad corridors radiating form the leaf basis or midrib. The later continunation is rather an elongated blotch. Pupation within the leaf, in a separate small blotch that contains no frass.
Asteraceae, monophagous (?)
Inula britannica, conyzae, salicina.
Hering (1963a) refers to a rearing from Pulicaria dysenterica, but expresses doubt if it concerns the same species.
Larvae from October till May, and in July – August (Hering, 1957a).
Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
