Egg on the midrib, not far from the tip of the leaflet. From here a very narrow gallery descends along the leaf margin till about halfway down. Then the corridor widens into a blotch that eventually becomes full depth and occupies the entire leaflet. Frass in a central accumulation. Pupation external.
