Cornus sanguinea, Hungary, Kimle, 24.v.2018 © László Érsek: larva, dorsal
Cornus alba, Nieuwendam, 8.vii.2005: larva dorsal
thorax dorsal and ventral
abdomen end, dorsal and ventral
Differences with Antispila treitschkiella are in the first place the absence of a row of dorsal black dots on each of the abdominal segments. (Easily visible without opening the mine: the larva lies belly-up in the mine). Also the hump on segment 8 is much less strongly developed, and the prolegs are even more reduced.
Morphological details of the larva are illustrated by Grandi (1931a, 1933a).
