Egg at the upperside of the leaf. The mine is identical to the one of E. heringi.

Very rarely also on Q. petraea and Q. pubescens.

One generation, larvae in October – November (van Nieukerken, 1985a).
distribution within Europe
From Czechia and Slovakia to Austria and Serbia (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
larva
Intensely, glossy amber yellow; head and prothoracic plate very light brown. Ganglia invisible, no ventral plates.
notes
Adults and mines are practically identical to those of E. heringi and phyllotomella, only the colour of the larvae is different.
