Fomoria luisae (Klimesch, 1978)
Hypericum calycinum, Thrace; from Klimesch (1978a).
mine
Egg at the upper surface of the leaf. Here begins a very thin and tortuous corridor that is almost entirely filled with frass. The corridor abruptly widens into a blotch, where the frass is deposited in the centre. Pupation in a silken cocoon within the mine, that causes the mine to bulge somewhat. The cocoon is elongate-oval, light brown, and connected by a silken tube to the spot in the lower epidermis where the imago is to appear.
