Oviposition at the underside of the leaf. The mine begins as a very delicate corridor. The continuation is quite broader, and follows the leaf margin. Finally the mine expands over a good part of the leaflet. Small leaflets are completely mined out. Frass black, almost completely filling the initial corridor, later in a more diffuse, broad line. Pupation external, exit slit in upper epidermis.
