Egg mostly at the underside of the leaf. Mine a rather tortuous, initially narrow, gradually widening corridor. Shape and length of the mine are strongly dependent on the thickness of the leaf.

Three generations in central Europe (larva in end-May – June, July, and August – September).

Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia (Fauna Europaea, 2009); Iberia (Laštůvka & Laštůvka, 2015a).




Until the publication by A & Z Laštůvka considered a synonym of Stigmella minusculella.
