Ditylenchus destructor

Ditylenchus destructor Thorne, 1945

Buhr mentions this species as a causer of galls in potato. The nematode feeds on the underground storage tissues of a number of plants species, like Dahlia, Gladiolus, Iris, Solanum, Taraxacum, Tulipa. It often is associated with a bacterium, and particularly then tissue rot may ensue.
