Hyaloperonospora norvegica

Hyaloperonospora norvegica (Gäumann) Choi, Shin & Voglmayer, 2011

on Draba

gall

leaves with pales spots. Underside with a generally very sparse whitish down, consisting of erect conidiophores that apically several times are branching, each branch ending in a conidium.

hostplants

Brassicaceae, monophagous

Draba daurica, nemorosa.

synonyms: Peronospora norvegica Gäumann, 1923.

notes

On Draba nemoralis both H. norvegica and H. drabae may occur, which is unusual for the generally narrowly monophagous Peronosporaceae. They usually differ clearly: drabae forms a dens felty down, in norvegica the conidiophores are diffusely scattered.
