upperside of the leaves with paled, slightly thickened patches. Shoots in bud grow vertically upwards and do not come into flower. Underside of the leaves with a white fungal bloom, consisting of erect, distally strongly branched conidiophores, each one ending upon an egg-shaped conidium.
