the infection is mostly systemic; the plants then are seriously disfigured. At he underside of the leaves a greyish felt-like down of erect, 270-430 µm hig, conidiophores that apically several times are dichotomously branching, each branch ending upon a conidium that generally does not exceed 20 µm, Embedded in the host tissue lie brown, thick-walled, smooth, oospores.
