Peronospora manshurica (Naumov) Sydow, 1923

at he underside of the leaves a purplish brown down of erect conidiophores that apically several times are dichotomously branching, each branch ending upon a globular conidium. Embedded in the host tissue lie brown, thick-walled, smooth, oospores.
