leaf spots amphigenous, ± dark brown, often extending from the leaf margin; at the upperside often the cuticle has become detached from the epidermis. Colonies hypophyllous, pale olivaceous, in dense tufts, velvety. Conidiophores in fascicles, mostly emerging out of the stomata, mostly up to 50 µm long. Conidia generally in branched chains, pale olivaceous brown, 2-5 x 2-18 µm, 0-1-septate.
