mycelium white, amphigenous, sometimes causing a purplish discolouration. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 3-17 asci, that contain 5-8 spores.Appendages 4-8, attached to the equator, stiff, unbranched, 1-5 times the diameter, with 0-1 sept. At the very tip they are repeatedly forked.
