mycelium amphigenous, ± persistent. Appressoria lobed, single or paired. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 3-8 asci, that contain 3-5 spores. Appendages numerous, sub-equatorial, 0.5-1.5 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, septate, basally ± brown, branched or not, sometimes even coralloid.
