mycelium amphigenous, persistent, in subcircular patches, ultimately covering the entire leaf. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Foot-cell of conidiophore generally straight. Cleistothecia rarely formed, with 3-8 asci, that contain 3-5 spores. Appendages 4-19, sub-equatorial, 0.5-2 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, septate, brown, sometimes irregularly branched.
