mycelium amphigenous, mostly persistent. Appressoria lobed, mostly single. Conidia solitary, oblong-elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia contain 3-10 asci with 3-4 spores. Appendages numerous, sub-equatorial, most 0.5-5 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, septate, mostly one or two times irregularly branched.
