mycelium amphigenous, also on the stems, mostly persistent. Appressoria lobed, solitary or paired. Conidia formed solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 4-8 asci, that contain 3-4 spores. Appendage 10-20, sub-equatorial, 0.5-1.5 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, septate, mostly unbranched, ± brown in the lower part.
