mycelium amphigenous, often white and persistent. Appressoria lobed, single or paired. Conidia formed solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 3-12 asci, that contain 3-6 spores. Appendages in very variable numbers, sub-equatorial, 0.3-1 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, weakly septate, ± hyaline, verrucose, mostly strongly branched, almost coralloid.
