mycelium amphigenous, alson on the stems. Appressoria ± lobed. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 3-10 asci that contain 3-5 spores. Generally 5-20 appendages, attached to the equator, 2-8 x the diameter. They are mycelioid, thin, flexuous, sometimes basally brown, aseptate; apices partly simple, partly several times irregularly forked.
