mycelium amphigenous, also on the stems, well developed, often in dense white patches, ± persistent. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 3-6 asci, containing 2-4 spores. Appendages numerous, sub-equatorial, 1-2 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, sepatate, unbranched, eventually brown.
