mycelium amphigenous, also on the stems, white. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia epiphyllous, 80-100 µm, with 4-10 asci containing 3-8 spores. Appendages 6-10, equatorial, 1-2 x the diameter; they are stiff, extending, hyaline, 0-1 septate; apically they are ± 2-4 times irregularly forked in quick succession.
