mycelium white, amphigenous. Appressoria nipple-shaped, single. Conidia in chains, short-elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Foot-cell of conidiophore cylindrical, 30-60 µm long. Cleistothecia with 5-20 asci that contain 2 spores. Appendages numerous, attached on, and usually below the equator, rarely above, 0.3-1.5 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, brown, septate, generally unbranched.
