mycelium amphigenous, effuse. Appressoria nipple-shaped. Conidia in short chains, without fibrosin bodies. Foot-cell of conidiophore straight, 40-60 µm. Cleistothecia amphigenous. Appendages numerous, resembling ordinary hyphae, 0.3 – 2.5 x the cleistothecial diameter. Up to 20 asci per cleistothecium, with 2 spores.
