mycelium amphigenous, dense, persistent. Appressoria indistinctly nipple-shaped. Conidia short-elliptic, formed in chains, without fibrosin bodies. Foot cell of conidiophore ± strait, 40-80 µm long. Cleistothecia 80-160 µm, with 5-20 two-spored asci. Appendages numerous, equatorial and sub-equatorial, 0.5 -3 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, septate, mostly unbranched, brown.
