mycelium internal and external; external mycelium amphigenous, also on the stems, white, generally dense, felt-like, persistent. Conidiophores, long, thin. Conidia formed one by one, in two forms. The first conidium formed is very narrow lanceolate, later ones are broad-elliptic. Cleistothecia rarely formed; they contain numerous asci, that have two spores. Appendages numerous, mycelioid, shorter than the diameter, not or irregularly branched.
