mycelium white, generally dense-felty, amphigenous; partly internal. Conidia solitary, without fibrosin bodies, in two forms: those formed at first are broadly lanceolate, later ones on the same conidiphore are oblong-elliptic. Cleistothecia with 10-45 asci, that contain two spores. Appendages numerous, attached below the equator, shorter than the diameter; they are mycelioid, often irregularly branched, septate.
