mycelium internal and external; the external mycelium is dense, white or grey, persistent. Conidiophores thin, hair-like, erect. The first conidium formed is narrow-lanceolate; later ones are oblong-elliptic. Cleistothecia contain many asci, that have two spores. Appendages numerous, sub-equatorial, shorter than the diameter; they are mycelioid, simple, hyaline or pale brown, generally aseptate.
