mycelium amphigenous, also in the shoots. Conidia in chains, short-elliptic, with fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecium with one, eight-spored ascus. Appendages equatorial, 1-4 x the diameter; they are brown, stiff, with the tip generally 3-4 times dichotomously branched.
