mycelium amphigenous, also on stems. Appressoria nipple-shaped. Conidia formed in chains, with fibrosin bodies, barrel-shaped. Cleistothecia with a single ascus, containing (6-)8 spores. Appendages rather numerous, sub-equatorial, 0.3-4 x the diameter; mycelioid, ultimately ± brown, septate, not or little and irregulary branched.
