mycelium amphigenous, sometimes thick, white, finally brown. Appressoria indistinct. Conidia oval, formed in chains, with fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia, mostly in dense groups, 60-85 µm, with a single ascus, containing (6-)8 spores. Appendages in variable numbers, sub-equatorial, 0.5-5 x the diameter; they are mycelioïd, septate, mostly unbranched, brown.
