mycelium on leaves and stems. Appressoria indistinct, sometimes ± nipple-shaped. Conidia formed in chains, with fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with a single ascus, containing 6-8 spores. Appendages 4-14, most of them sub-equatorial, 0.5 – 6 x the diameter, myceloid, brown, flaccid, septate, mostly unbranched.
