mycelium amphigenous, thin, forming white patches. Appressoria from nipple-shaped tot lobed, mostly single. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Foot-cell of the conidiophore usually distictly curved. Cleistothecia unknown.

notes
it is unclear whether this anamorph really is confined to E. pulcherrima (“poinsettia”). Moreover Leveillula taurica and the extra-European Leveillula clavata Nour, 1957 have been found on materal of this species.
